Top 5 Ways To Make Your Week-End Last Longer

Sadly, there is no possible way, we can extend the number of hours on weekends. I know quite a number of people have tried to negotiate with God on this matter. In the mean time, we have to make do with what we have.

However, there is still a possibility that you could stretch your weekend. Try these out this coming weekend and you might notice a difference!

#1. Make a list of things on Friday (or before!)
Most often, we wait until the week-end to ‘organize’ the week-end!
What would happen if you plan it prier to the week-end? This will leave you with just waking up and executing the ‘list’ as opposed to wondering what to do!

#2. Don’t sleep in
Now, now hold your groans and swears until I finish this paragraph. First off, let me tell you that I love to sleep. Generally, I tend to take the liberty of sleeping-in late on week-ends. (If you also have that genetic imbalance on week-ends, I don’t blame you! ) However, what I did notice was, by the time I wake up almost half the day is over!
Don’t get me wrong. I am not suggesting that you wake up in the wee hours of the morning. I thought of it, then again, I don’t want to be beaten up by your spouse or any other family member!

On a serious note, if you wake up at your regular week-day, work-day time, I am sure it will add a few extra hours to your week-end.

Note: If you don’t have anything better to do over the week-end, by all means sleep-in!

#3. Make the most of week-end mornings
This is very related to #2. Sometime ago, I had a habit of watching movies in the morning. This would take away several hours of my morning. Without knowledge, it was suddenly time for lunch!

#4. Try to free your weekend from monotonous & boring activities
Monotones & boring activities… I think people call them chores!

One day, I happen to mention to one of my cousin’s that I couldn’t wait until the week-end, because I had loads of washing to do. He thought it was very funny. Are you smiling at me as well? My friend went on to ask why I waited until the week-end to do my laundry. He had a point.

So, try to shift SOME monotonous boring activities to week days. That way, you can carry out more fun activities on week-ends!

#5. If fails, there is always the next weekend!
